17 Weeks!

I thought I would give a brief synopsis of the pregnancy so far. I am seventeen weeks along (about 4 months) and no I don't know what I am having. We find out the end of the month though. I really have no inclination either way. Last time I was positive it was girl. I thought, "I am the mom and I know." I even bought nonreturnable girl bedding. Well, obviously that didn't go so well.
I am due December 25th. You heard me right Christmas Day. No we are not considering Noel, Mary, Beth-laham, Kris, Nicholas,or Santa as possible name choices. My doctor has assured me that he will start me a week early so we should all be home for Christmas.
I am feeling great. The second trimester is a breeze. No more down-and-out fatigue and just all around blah feeling and I am not hugely uncomfortable yet.
I never lost my appetite and honestly it has only increased exponentially. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see on the ultrasound, one fetus and one thriving tapeworm living in harmony. I am not exaggerating, I am eating the house down. I have always been "a good eater" but things have really spiraled out of control sense little fetus moved in. I literally have to eat like every two hours and not just a snack will suffice, I am talking a full meal. Last Sunday after dinner at my moms the family took a vote and I won for the biggest eater, beating out both my brothers and brother-in-law. Earlier I about bit Mark's head off when he tried to clear my plate before I was finished (everyone else had been done long before). I haven't found any references to parasitic relationships or subsequent harmful effects on the baby in my maternity books so I won't worry about it and just keep shoveling it in.

I am very happy for you guys that you are having another baby!! How old is number 1? You are brave!! Mine are 19 months apart, 1 boy, 1 girl, I think the Lord is testing me because it's HARD to take the leap and go for number 3 when you have one of each!! Good luck with everything, and don't worry, I think I have a tapeworm even when i'm not pregnant!!

If you can't balance your beverage on your belly at 17 weeks you are too small!! Now go into the kitchen and grab yourself some ice cream.

For eating Mark out of 'house and home' I think you look really good! Congrats, I guess that answers my question! The 2nd trimester is the best....enjoy!

(You're going to get this and think: "Jodi? Why does that sound a bit familiar?") Yay! Another baby! I check your blog all the time (in the most non-creepy way)...Now, go to lunch with me so I can quit being such a bad friend!

I know, I know, I'm a whimp sometimes! so ya it was good seeing you the other night even though it didn't last for long. Hopefully we'll see you next time. You have a cute little belly and you definaltely don't look like you're eating that much!

Are you sure that you're not just stocking up for winter? I doubt that there is really a baby in there. I hate to break it to you, but I think you've just gained a little weight. The tapeworm is just getting bigger.

I personally think you're trying to stick out your belly... I see you all the time and you're still as skinny as Bud. :D

Should I be concerned that my very non-pregnant belly and your 17 week pregnant belly are very similar?

Amy that is awesome! Congratulations! Hopefully it is a girl so you can put that bedding to some good use. ;)
So do you still have that triathlon work-out, or remember where you got it from. I would really like to take a look at it, and ask you some questions about the whole ordeal. Here is my email if you get a chance mel_bassett@yahoo.com
Thanks a bunch!!

Congrats! I didn't know you were pregnant again! We are very happy for you. Hope Jackson is excited for a new bro or sis!! You are brave ones, we are not so ready to venture down that path in life yet. Congrats again!!

Oh a lady in our ward here in north Ogden told me to say hello to you girls and your mom. Marsi Toyn. She is great and said she is good friends with your mom. I will have to relay the news about your new baby!
