Confessions

Do you ever have those days when you just seem to have it all together? The house is clean, the laundry is caught up, drawers are organized, phone calls are returned, kids are clean and happy, dinner is on the table, and your skinny jeans have never felt better? In fact you put on an extra coat of lip gloss in preparation for the knock on the door that will surely announce the bearer of the Mother/Wife of the Year trophy? Me neither.
In contrast here are some confessions from the past week.
  • Sprayed my hair with body spray instead of washing it after going to the gym.
  • Shared a lunch of graham crackers and gold fish from a baggie, left over from church, while driving, with Jackson.
  • Scrounged a dollar in change from the ash tray to buy chicken nuggets at the drive thru when the baggie was empty.
  • Grabbed one of Jackson's socks and one of Charlie's socks on accident and put them on Jackson anyway.
  • Built a leaning tower of diapers in the garbage can.
  • Wrestled my two year for the remote to watch a rerun of Gilmore Girls instead of the third round of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
  • Called Mark to bring home takeout after feigning a nasty headache.
  • Sprayed the clothes in the dryer with water and turned them on for five minutes instead of ironing.

Whew, I feel better and hopefully you are thinking, "Hey, I'm doing alright." I have that same feeling every time I look around at the Walmart clientele.

Tender

Jackson has recently taken up the game of golf, well his version of golf at least. He gets the meat tenderizer (which has never actually been used to tenderize meat) and hits balls around the house. He was enjoying this new talent when I heard Mark yell, "No, no, do not hit Charlie." Crying ensued from both boys and I came in the room to find the fallen and wounded. Jackson because he was in trouble and Charlie because he had become the human golf ball.

The Weapon:

The Victim:

Look at that poor head of perfectly spaced, raised, welts.

All healed and happy.

Who's Your Daddy?

I'm back. After a long hiatus from the blogging world I have found my way back. Life has been busy and good but nothing really worth blogging about.
Mark and I decided to try an experiment with our boys. Hopefully this will dispel any lingering rumors about that pesky milkman. Can you tell who is who?
