Okay, so he didn't use the correct form of 'your' and the N is backwards but the kid seems to have promise. I know all of you psychology majors are seeing the Oedipal undertones here but he is calling it how he sees it.

Child Genius?
Many of you may have heard on the news about the 17 month old baby that can read. Well, the Today Show may be knocking on my door when they get wind of this. Mark was giving Jackson a bath the other night and he called me into the bathroom to see what Jackson had "written" for me.

Day at the ZOO
Well, since the mercury rose to a whopping 50 degrees today, my mom, Lindsey, and I thought we would head to the zoo. Jackson and Bentley had never been so we bundled up, crammed two strollers in, and off we went.
Bentley is already a month old and this was her first time at the zoo--poor, deprived, girl. As you can see she thoroughly enjoyed herself.

Jackson loved the monkeys and the squirrels but anything stationary he wasn't too keen on. The animals had be constantly moving, and moving quickly, to keep his attention. Otherwise he was on the run.
This a little video clip of him watching the squirrel run around. He has the fakest laugh. (Note to self: Do not talk while taping. You sound like an idiot.)

Most of the Time
I sure love my boy......most of the time. He has been going through a phase, or at least I hope it is just a phase. He seems to have given up on talking a signing and resorted to just whining and pulling me where he wants me to go. He also has taken quite a liking to public tantrums and is adamantly opposed to letting me enjoy a lunch out with friends. Don't get me wrong he isn't a menace all the time, as long as he has room to roam he is happy but that isn't always possible and honestly it is a little exhausting. Last Sunday I had to chase him off the stand of the other ward that meets in our building sacrament....twice. I know I should have learned my lesson the first time but the kid is surprisingly fast for having exceptionally short legs.
Well, after all this ranting my point is, I still love him. All he has to do is be cute and sweet for just a minute and I forget about everything else.

Who wouldn't love a mug like that?
Picture of the Month
As you can see by the title 'Picture of the Week' has dwindled to 'Picture of the Month'. Who was I kidding? My life is not that interesting. Maybe I will invest in a scanner and I can post some old photos when hair was big and life was easy. Until then.....

Hurry Spring! Jackson and I were playing outside the other day and although he loved it, it didn't seem quite right. Brown grass, sweatshirts, and rosy cheeks. I thought his expression captured the mood.

Lotta Lacquer
I was watching Designed to Sell the other day and they refinished some kitchen cabinets and I thought, "that doesn't look too hard and I have nothing else to do." So I hit the local home improvement store and a power sander, tape, and alotta lacquer later, presto chango , like-new cabinets for under 30 bones.
Side note: If anyone is needing a little pick me up you are welcome to come hang out for awhile and you will be feeling better in no time. So any closet glue sniffers out there come on by. We have fumes to spare.

After
Tree House
Yesterday my cousin Bobbi invited us to join her and her son Cooper for a day at the Tree House. I was a little hesitant due to Jackson's destructive power and had visions and many broken items and me forking out a lot of money in accordance with the 'you break it, you but it' policy. Actually it turned out really fun and Jackson loved it. Everything is very kid friendly, even the seek and destroy kind of kid, and we left unscathed.

Jackson can be quite the musician if it involves banging things on walls.
You would have thought there was a 200 foot ravine with raging rapids below them with how much caution they used going over the bridge.
