Nothing was more exciting than arranging each binder and stuffing our pencil pouches to the brim. Even after I graduated from college I continued this autumnal tradition for Mark which he politely accepted and then rearranged everything once he got to school. Apparently engineers are too good for pencil pouches.
Now that no one in my immediate household is in school the sphere of back to school giving has extended. My mom is an elementary school teacher and 'gets' to go back to school every year. Lucky girl. Well, in honor of her valiant pilgrimage back to the ghetto of Ogden to teach those eager young minds my sisters and I give her a few new outfits to send her back in style. Here she is posing in her new duds. What a hottie, huh! I tried to get her to sport her 'school bag' with the ensemble to get the full effect but she wasn't going for it.

Reba... I mean Amy... I totally love the whole going back to school, so much that I buy my kids "school clothes" each fall and I can never pass up the bins, just in case I need 500 pencils, why not!!! We would always get our clothes at mervyns, but shopko was the best. Your little boy is so cute and I love the name Jackson. I was sad that I didn't make it to the reunion, I heard it was fun. Hope you guys are doing well, I will be stocking your blog from now on.
What a sweet idea! Your mom is so cute...I don't think I have ever met her.. maybe I have. I can feel school approaching in the air too and I love it (even though it already started), cool mornings, new clothes, school supplies, organizing folders, new pencils and pens...I LOVE IT!!
I totally know what you mean. My last five trips to Wal-Mart I have to physically force myself away from the school supplies aisles. Tayler's preschool teacher came over to meet her and do a quick assessment last week, and I couldn't sleep that night, I was so excited for her to go!! Your mom is a hottie!
Ok, I am pretty sure this is a little obsessive and I am really shocked that you haven't bought as much as you usually do! Oh, yah, I forgot...the envelope. That explains it. Maybe you should do a post titled "we live like no one else, so we CAN live like no one else."
You know what is a neccessity for back to school? Little magnets with scrapbook paper glued to them. Cute, functional, sassy, hey, what's there not to love?
Your mom is such a hottie lol. I miss you guys. But, by the way, you have been tagged.
