On to the bike, what I thought would be my strongest leg, more of the same. First loop went well but I must have unknowingly ran over a black cat, ducked under a ladder, and broke a mirror in my haste to complete the second lap because my chain came off three times and then my gears wouldn't work. It was like a bad dream where you are peddling as fast as you can but can't go anywhere. I'm sure fellow racers where thinking, "Look at the poor girl who has no idea that her bike has higher gears."
The run was refreshingly uneventful although I half expected my foot to fall off at the rate I was going.
My time was better than I thought but I left wanting a do over. Better sign up for another one.

I just have to talk these ladies into joining me.
